Managed Proxmox Stacks

Enterprise-grade virtualisation deployed on your own dedicated hardware. We build, configure, and maintain Proxmox VE clusters so you get the flexibility of virtual machines with the performance of bare metal. No hypervisor licensing fees.

What We Manage

Cluster Deployment

We deploy multi-node Proxmox VE clusters with quorum-based high availability. Minimum three-node configurations ensure no single point of failure. Corosync and pve-cluster are configured for reliable node communication across redundant network paths.

Live VM Migration

Move running virtual machines between cluster nodes with zero downtime. Live migration uses RDMA or TCP for memory transfer, allowing you to evacuate a node for maintenance without affecting workloads. Pre-copy and post-copy migration strategies are tuned per workload.

Ceph Storage Integration

Distributed storage across your cluster using Ceph. We configure Ceph OSDs on dedicated NVMe drives, set replication factors, and create storage pools for VM disks, ISO images, and backups. Ceph provides self-healing, automatic rebalancing, and scales linearly.

Automated Backups

Scheduled VM backups using Proxmox Backup Server (PBS). Incremental, deduplicated backups reduce storage consumption by up to 90%. Backups are verified automatically and can be restored to any node in the cluster. Off-site replication available.

High Availability (HA)

Proxmox HA manager automatically restarts failed VMs on healthy nodes. Fencing via IPMI ensures split-brain scenarios are handled safely. HA groups and resource constraints let you control placement policies for compliance or performance.

24/7 Monitoring & Alerts

Every cluster node, storage pool, and network link is monitored continuously. We track CPU, memory, disk I/O, Ceph health, and cluster quorum status. Alerts are routed to our ops team and optionally to your channels via webhook, email, or PagerDuty.

Deployment Process

01

Architecture Design

We design your cluster topology based on workload requirements: number of nodes, CPU/memory ratios, storage layout (local NVMe vs Ceph), and network segmentation. HA policies, backup retention, and access controls are defined upfront.

02

Cluster Bootstrap

Proxmox VE is installed on dedicated hardware with hardened configurations. Cluster formation, Corosync ring setup, and Ceph OSD initialisation are performed. Networking is configured with dedicated management, storage, and VM traffic VLANs.

03

Storage & Backup Config

Ceph pools are created with appropriate replication factors. Proxmox Backup Server is deployed for scheduled, incremental, deduplicated backups. Retention policies are configured per VM or group. Test restores are validated before handover.

04

HA & Fencing

High availability is enabled with IPMI-based fencing. HA groups are defined to control VM placement. Failover is tested by deliberately shutting down nodes to verify automatic recovery. Recovery time objectives are documented.

05

Handover & Ongoing Management

You receive full admin access to the Proxmox web UI and API. We provide runbooks covering common operations. Ongoing management includes Proxmox updates, Ceph maintenance, backup verification, and capacity planning reviews.
